==== About me ====
My passion for mobile apps goes for more than 4 years now, it all began with the launch of the iPhone, that made me move from a Marketing Manager to a Software Engineer. My most successful story was founding a mobile company in 2010 (Galapagos Mobile) in Brazil and selling it in December 2011.
In my early days at PeopleSoft I was already learning how
analytics can change a business, as a Marketing Manager I learned how to work with a team, do business with other countries and how marketing can
affect people’s behavior. As an entrepreneur I learned the big picture, and how you have to make the most out of the resources you have. Finally as CTO I learned how to manage not only a team, but a farm of servers, how to do long terms roadmaps and how keeping things simple help users to understand your product.
I was responsible for the app roadmap and keeping the product aligned with the company's objectives. I rewrote their iPad app and created their iPhone app.
We had a stack of over 12 servers with production and staging environments, I help building a proxy server in Node.js to lower the amount of network traffic the app used.
Managed a team of 3 engineers, working with design, product and development teams to create products for companies like Whirlpool.
I co-founded this company with three more people, the idea was to create a magic place where we could do what we like and deliver high quality apps. The company had 16 employees. After an year and a half of it’s launch we sold it to a digital agency in Brazil. Here I was responsible for making new products to sell to customers, designing our own magazine solution, getting the briefing from customers and creating great products based on the customer needs, building wireframes, managing the development, content and design teams, building awesome and innovative iOS apps and their backend in Ruby on Rails.
I had a team of 4 people, together we developed more than 20 apps for iPad and iPhone. Among my responsibilities was getting the briefing from customers and helping them to build the wire-frame, helping the design team on the UX/UI, managing my team's time and efforts, building the first iOS apps we had in Brazil as their Ruby on Rails back end.
I worked on this company while I was learning iOS development. During this time I was responsible for building and managing their telephony infrastructure, building and managing their servers (Sharepoint + Exchange) and helping with the support for the Casewise solutions.
I had a 2 million budget to work with, that was spent on online advertising, magazine ads and trade shows around the world. We successfully launched 3 products worldwide.
I was responsible for managing the company's website. I also build the company intranet. While working there I got an honor mention for the best site performance on the world after the top two (US, Japan), our site was 7th in the world and through content analysis I managed to bring it to third.
